The technology/digital tools are a tool for effective practice - they are not 'everything' - learning is the key
An effective teacher implementing effective teaching practice is the most important thing.
Google meet - leave the meeting - hang up icon then it will be sitting there when I get back. I just figured this out myself today! I've been closing the whole tab then going back into the email invitation every time - eyeroll Susan.
Share just a tab not a whole screen - this is a cool feature I didn't know about.
At this point the neighbours were getting wifi installed at their place and I lost my wifi so had to connect with my data using my iphone as a hotspot and then get on my ipad instead. NOT as easy! So... I missed some of the good stuff...
I was using my phone to take some notes and I did manage to get some helpful stuff.
Mail - I do have my mail box set up quite well already with folders and coloured stars. I often use the 'unread' feature to remind myself to deal with that email. There was a hint I missed about having your email in 'unread first' order and I need to figure out how to do that.
I also want to know more about the 30 second unsend feature - not sure if I have this set up but I would like to. And just as a matter of interest I'd like to know if you can set it for longer than 30 seconds.
Also I think my calendar week is set to start on a Monday but I'd like to double check that.
Kenneth and I talked for probably way too long about our blog post we were reading - but it was really interesting! :)
Kia ora Susan,
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with your perseverance - you carried on with the learning throughout the date despite the lack of internet!
30 seconds it the longest time possible for unsend of gmails. You can check in your gmail settings how long this is set for.
Ngā mihi,
Maria
